JULIE GARNER
Founder of Project Yellow Light
Julie Garner is the Founder of Project Yellow Light. Project Yellow Light is a competition program where High School and College students submit radio, video and billboard ads to prevent texting and driving. Competitors are "encourage[d] safe driving".
Julie founded Project Yellow Light to honor her son, Hunter, who died in a distracted driving accident in 2007. Julie also wanted to create this program to make preventable deaths relating to texting and driving less common.

MR. JIM POLLACK
Director of Facilities and Security Services at The Madeira School
Mr. Pollack worked in a local police force for nearly 28 years before coming to Madeira. While on the police force, Mr. Pollack served as a patrol, a detective, a member of a S.W.A.T. team, the motor squad, part of the traffic safety division, internal affairs bureau, and the motorcycle squad.
MR. TOR BENNETT
Director of Campus Safety and Security at The Madeira School
Mr. Bennett spent 26 years with the Fairfax County Police Department. While with the Fairfax County Police Department, he spent about half of the time in a patrol capacity. Afterward, he worked as a sergeant and a second lieutenant in the patrol capacity.
